Les Puces du Design
Stephanie Wells writing for VINGT Paris
Celebrate the tenth birthday of Les Puces du Design this week, October 8, 9, 10, and 11th by Quai de la Loire, Bassin de la Villette. The expertly curated “flea market” showcases furniture, interior design and antiques from the 1950’s through the 80’s. No moth-eaten Louis XVI chairs here. Les Puces du Design is known for its rigorous selection of vendors, as well as an astute eye for premium quality and craftsmanship.
Keeping with the designer’s concept of balance, Nuova Italia, an exhibit within Les Puces dedicated to emerging Italian talents, is introduced by event curator Cédric Morrisset.
The four-day interior design smorgasbord is free and open to the public. With more than 80 vendors participating, there are sure to be enough Herman Miller goods for sale to redecorate the entire Right Bank à la Mad Men.
