David LaChapelle Retrospective
Now through May 31st, 2024
Renowned surrealist / photographer David LaChapelle is having his first ever retrospective in France at La Monnaie de Paris, showing more than 200 photos including his clichés of Hollywood's glitz and glam, portraits of celebrities, and depictions of American culture.
The exhibition is displayed by theme from "Deluge" to "After Pop" to his latest series entitled "Auguries of Innocence" (in reference to William Blake) - the latter applying industrial methods of fabrication to create an altogether 3D appearance.
Everyday from 10:30 to 19:30, Mondays and Fridays till 22:00.

I was at the exposure yesterday. The hotel de la monnaie is not an appropriate place to make this retrospective. It is too small, and there is not 200 photos..... Only 30-50 I guess. Very disapointed but i'm waitng for the Andy Warhol exposure at the Grand Palais
