an evening of electro music and projection of films with the theme Paris-Berlin. After midnight there will be a performance entitled, "Ma Public Therapy" followed by DJ's Fabster and Mademoiselle Jayne.

22h - 06h at Cave Le Chapelais - 7 Rue Le Chapelais - 17eme - Metro Place de Clichy or La Fourche

Paris-Berlin, eh? What's the difference? As far as I know a sandwich Greq is about 1.50 euros in Berlin, in Paris it's about 3.50 euros, plus, people in Berlin takes more drugs.

Studio share available in Vitry

Atelier_2
An I V Y paris participant has a studio in Vitry-sur-Seine to share:

"the space is 27m sq and I am looking for someone to share it with. It would suit a painter, or graphic artist. The rent is 200 euros / month. Vitry is an up and coming area for artists, the studio space comprises 9 studios, set in really nice surroundings. It is light, dry and most importantly in winter - warm! It also has 24 hour access. The studio is very close to the RER, and is also easy to get to by taking the 180 bus from Liberte metro (line 8)"

If you are a member of the "Salon" you can contact her through the website direct.

Fin de siecle

Iggggggyyyy
I had a lot more time for Communism before I came to live in France.......but that's another story. I might be tempted to the Fete de l'Humanité this year as rock god and best gig givers ever, Iggy & The Stooges, are headlining this year on Saturday 15th September.

I'll have to weigh it up. It's either a previous engagement - a tour of the architectural chefs-d'oeuvres of the 16th Arrondissement and the interior of Le Corbusier's renowned Villa La Roche or Le IG....

I don't think it has ever seemed so clear to me that I might be getting on a bit in the years. What to choose? Political "radicalism" and mosh pit........or............. sinking slowly into middle age?

Lalande Digital Printing Press and art blog

Artist and writer Matthew Rose has another string to his bow, he works with Lalande Digital Art Press and many of the I V Y artists have benefited from his printing advice. The company have started a new blog to highlight some of the fun jobs they do. I can vouch for the fact they are quick, efficient and pleasant to deal with.

The posts talk in further detail about the artist's works than just the job they are having printed; read about David Mccairley's adventures at the Paris Tattoo fair or the wine label we created for Stormhoek as sponsors's of the IVY paris exposition held at the Chapelle Saint-Louis de la Pitie-Salpêtrière May 2024..
