Les Puces du Design is a 'flea market' (a luxe Flea Market at that....) selling retro furniture, vintage clothing and accessories from the 40s to the 80s.

The Puces du Design will be taking place this weekend (May 30th through June 1st). You'll find them on the Quai de la Loire, along the Bassin de la Villette in the 19th arrondissement where Eames, Saarinen and Panton are waiting for you.

The location gives the Puces enough room to show more than 60 displays, accomodating antique dealers specialized in furniture and 20th century collectibles, and new dealers specialized in vintage fashion that will show an array of clothing, shoes, jewelry, accessories for men, women and children.

In the Puces' tradition, you'll come across hard-to-find signature pieces both in clothing and furniture.

Access: Metro Jaures. There's also a shuttle boat service that serves the Quai de la Loire from La Villette and Bastille. More information here.

Fantastic! What a gorgeous collection of glossy red furniture!

I auctioned a home that was full of this retro furniture here in Sydney.
It made me feel quite strange evoking all the memories of childhood!
