Bonapart and I V Y paris commission Joanna Walsh for our card

Bonapartivy2008
We commissioned Oxford, UK artist Joanna Walsh to create this dynamic carte de voeux for 2024 for Bonapart Consulting and I V Y Paris.

This year, 2024, was our best year ever and we wanted a card that communicates our enthusiasm for Paris, the art of real estate, and our belief that art is an integral part of our lives here in Paris. Luckily the French custom is to send the cards in the new year as we've not managed to get to La Poste yet.....

Le Georges V Four Seasons Hotel

Shakespeare_24 Le Georges V is a fabulous art déco landmark hotel dating from 1928, just off the Champs Elysées.  This meeting place for business or perhaps pleasure is the favoured spot of well-heeled Parisiennes.  This year the christmas décor is inspired by Dan Flavin's strip lights, an inventive break from the norm.  It's no surprise because the hotel's resident Fleuriste, Jeff Leatham (voted twice best florist in Europe) is a world leader in trends and has to stay one step ahead of the game.  Originally at the Four Seasons in Beverley Hills his fans include Ungaro and Cher.........

Get your santa suits on kids.

Santacon_2005_2 About time. The inaugral Paris Santacon is this Saturday, December 22. Starting point: 2 pm, iconically from the Place de la Bastille.

I heartily participated in the 1st and 2nd London Santarchy where we breakdanced in Selfridges on Oxford Street, invaded Soho's peep shows and finally staggered to the Horse Hospital around 7pm if we were still able to stand upright (a place where most of the Santas hung out in those days).

PeterAn exhibition taking place at the Maison Européene de la Photographie from January 16 to March 30th 2024.

Born in 1931 in Bäretswil, Switzerland, Knapp started taking pictures in 1945 and continued his studies in graphic arts in Zurich. Having began painting, he decided to attend the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.
Subsequently, he entered the Galeries Lafayette where he soon becomes artistic director, in charge of window displays and advertisements. Helen Lazareff would then discover his work and later hire him as Artistic Director for Elle magazine.

As Artistic Director, Knapp has hired the biggest names in Fashion Photography from Jeanloup Sieff to Sarah Moon, to Oliviero Toscani. But when he failed to find a photographer able to suit his needs, he decided to take the job himself, parallel his work with Elle.

Kadist presents Trouble en Acte, a Conference by Jonah Freeman

SansanSan San is a theatrical collage of the narratives and histories surrounding the The San-San Annual, a gigantic exhibition located in the Granville Convention Center of the Pacific Coast Metroplex. The event is described by the journalist Elizabeth Stone in her book In The Kaleidoscope Room:

“There are over 1750 exhibitors on the 13 floors of the convention center. It is the largest of its kind in the world. I’m told that they expect a surplus of three million people to attend. This hypertrophic scale is a result of the merger of several kinds of trade fairs, contemporary art exhibitions, technology displays and performance festivals into one behemoth event. It is now truly without theme or cohesion, a fair ostensibly about everything and nothing at all. “
